Hilton The Hague is looking for a Shift Engineer!
The Engineering Department is responsible for all technical work and maintenance in the hotel, including overall maintenance and energy saving. The team knows the hotel as the back of their hand and are true maintenance magicians. As Shift Engineer, you fix malfunctions, maintain the quality of the rooms and support colleagues and guests with maintenance affairs.
Your responsibilities include:
Daily routine and preventive maintenance of the hotel rooms and public areas
Conducting safety and check rounds, and report and follow up on any issues occurring
Respond to all possible maintenance request quickly and efficiently
Maintenance in all areas of the hotel
Respond to requests from guests
Setting up audiovisuals in the meeting rooms
Preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment is maintained as required
Lead the way and accompany third parties
Assist and think along in the implementation of energy saving programs
Daily monitoring and adjusting of building management system to the most beneficial settings
Improving the maintenance systems and energy saving possibilities
Ensure a proper state of all equipment, tools and workspaces
Keeping up to date your technical skills and knowledge;
Ensuring a smooth communication with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Front Office
Monthly on-call shifts
Who we’re looking for:
Recent work experience in a technical function, preferably at a hotel;
Knowledge of overall maintenance and technical work
Someone who does his/her job with pride and enjoys offering great service to guests
Team player and stress resistant
Proactive attitude
Someone who is available full time (38 hours, 5 days per week) on flexible schedule (weekend, morning, evening and holidays)
Willing to do a week of on-call shifts per month, during which you may receive a phone call at night for emergencies
Fluent in English, Dutch language is a preference
In the possession of a valid work permit for The Netherlands

A salary in accordance with the Dutch Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (Horeca CAO), scale IV. The starting salary in this scale is €2.462,64
