Do you know everything about sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami and does nothing make you happier than experimenting with them? Then we are looking for you as Sous-Chef at the Holiday Inn Eindhoven.

 

What will you be doing?

From the kitchen you will prepare the dishes for restaurant at the Holiday Inn. You will work closely with the Head Chef and replace him during his absence. Dishes only leave your kitchen when they look as good as they taste. Whether it's the first breakfast of the day or the last dessert late at night. You see preparing lunches and dinners for groups that have booked a meeting package as a fun challenge! This can be for 12 people but also 130. As Sous-Chef, it goes without saying that you are fully up to date with preparation techniques, food trends and ingredients. Moreover, you know exactly how to convey this knowledge with enthusiasm to your team and the guests. In addition, you will train and supervise our apprentice and trainees. You see it as your mission to make processes, products and menus every day just a little bit better than the day before. You know exactly how to organise your working day so that you never run out of time and are not afraid of a creative menu brainstorm. This is how you make your own and your colleagues' working day different every day.

Who are you?


  • At least a completed cooking school MBO - level 3
  • A master chef's diploma
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
  • You know how to motivate your team and take them along with you in your own enthusiasm
  • Independence, creativity and empathy
  • Flexibility in working hours and tasks
  • Knowledge of products/ingredients, calculations and menu
  • You live in the Eindhoven region.

*Salary is based on the Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement wage scale when the candidate is 21 years of age or older.
