Sous Chef

At the Ambassador City Center Hotel and restaurant The Governor in the heart of Haarlem we are immediately looking for a Sous Chef.

What are you good at?

You and the entire team ensure that guests walk out the door with a good feeling every day. You are proactive, have confidence in your own abilities and quality and take action when necessary. As the chef's right hand, you are responsible for the kitchen and you monitor all processes. You know how to keep your head cool during busy times and you ensure that everything runs smoothly. You think in solutions, not in problems

What are you going to do?

Each shift you lead the kitchen team together with the Chef. While you manage the team, you fully participate in the daily activities. You ensure that all dishes are prepared according to the established quality standards, working methods and recipes. You also take care of the organization in the kitchen and the personnel policy together with the Chef. You are responsible for complying with the rules and guidelines in the field of hygiene (HACCP)

Your profile:

• you have experience in a similar position.

• you master the Dutch and English language.

• A completed chef training is an advantage and not a must.

• You combine and share your culinary knowledge and experience.

• You are stress-resistant.

• You have good social and communication skills.
