What can you expect?

As Sous Chef at Sazanka, you play an important role in leading the kitchen team and maintaining our high standards of quality.

You support the Chef de Cuisine with the daily operations in the kitchen, guide and develop the team and ensure that every dish is prepared with quality, creativity and precision. You support colleagues with cooking techniques and presentation, contribute ideas for new menus and help create an exceptional guest experience.

In the unique world of teppanyaki, you combine leadership with craftsmanship and inspire your team in an international working environment.

Your main tasks are:

  • Supporting and guiding the daily operations in the kitchen according to the high standards of Sazanka;
  • Ensuring consistent quality, creativity and an excellent guest experience;
  • Monitoring HACCP, hygiene and food safety regulations in the kitchen;
  • Training, coaching and motivating kitchen colleagues and contributing to their professional development;
  • Actively contributing to effective collaboration and a positive working atmosphere within the kitchen team;
  • Contributing ideas to menu development and new culinary concepts;
  • Contributing to the further development and growth of the kitchen team;
  • Ensuring an efficient and professional execution of all tasks, with the guest experience always at the centre.

  • Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extending. We want you to stay!
  • Salary: Group 7. Click HERE for the salary scale 
  • Bonus: 1 week salary when the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP (Gross Operating Profit) level and you get a minimum total score of successful in your yearend evaluation
  • 8% holiday allowance (pro rata);
  • 25 vacation days per year (pro rata).

  • After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest.

What are we asking?

Of course, we are first and foremost interested in you and what we as an employer can do for you to provide a great workplace. Nevertheless we expect from you that:

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in a similar position within luxury hospitality or restaurants;
  • Completed culinary education or culinary training;
  • Knowledge of teppanyaki is an advantage;
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team;
  • A creative mindset and enthusiasm for culinary innovation;
  • Flexibility and the ability to work comfortably in an international environment;
  • Good communication skills of the English language, both spoken and written;
  • As part of the pre-employment screening, you will be asked for a minimum of two positive references.
