Your day to day

As Front Office Supervisor, you are the connection between the (Assistant) Front Office Manager and the Front Office Host team. But there’s more to it, you are also the one that makes sure the guests are happy and the front office operation runs smoothly. Simply said, you are present and available to your colleagues and guest when needed. And you focus on organizing your shift in such a way that you and your team are ready to deliver a memorable experience to all our guest. As Front Office Supervisor you are the person that knows every little corner of the front office, and every colleague, you can state that you are the voco® The Hague expert.

·        You follow up on the instructions given by management, the Head of Department or his/her temporary replacement

·        Being up to date of recent changes, publications and memo’s

·        Being informed at all times of information and changes as handed over during the front office handover

·        Maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction through actively communicating with the guests before, during and after the stay.

·        Ensuring the quality of the hotel product is always at the highest possible level.

·        Monitoring the service behaviors of hosts in all departments and ensuring the voco® brand promise is delivered throughout the guest journey.

·        The planning and assignment of work within Front Office, ensuring everyone knows the priorities of the day and guests are well taken care of.

·        Training the team on brand standards and making sure all standard operating procedures are followed.

·        Ensuring all procedures regarding safety & security are updated and followed closely.

·        Driving results and consistently deliver & inspire others by leading by example.  

·        Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams. 

·       Driving a great working environment for teams to thrive by connecting departments and creating the sense of one team.

  • Acting as Night Auditor and executing night audit procedures while on shift during the night.

·        Ad-hoc duties as required – unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done. 

 ·        Controls and monitors the quality of the check-in and check-out of guests according to the set procedures

·        Handle problem handling issues during your shift.

·        Deal with Fire Life Safety issues during your shift

·        You are responsible for you own Cashier and solving Cashier issues from Front Office host.

·        Correctly handle administrative tasks

·        Is responsible for keeping track of training overviews and checks that employees have been trained on all aspects, in cooperation with ( Assistant ) Front Office Manager

·        Coaches and supervises Front Office host.

·        Is responsible for the correct execution of all tasks under his / her supervision

·        Is responsible for a well-organized shift

·        Is ultimately responsible for all front office activities during his / her shift

·        You are responsible for handling corrections via accounting and to take action to prevent structural mistakes

·        You focus on coaching/development from our VOCO host.

·        You are responsible for the checking out of house accounts, audits and closing of monthly account and evaluating and checking pseudo accounts in time

·        You will make sure that all cash registers have enough change and stock

·        You handle administration of ‘No-Shows’

·        You take responsibility for taking on reservations outside opening times of the reservation office

Did you bring everything?

·        Passion for hospitality.

·        Knowledge of PMS system Opera is an advantage.

·        Pro-active attitude and eye for detail with a natural drive for continuous improvement.

·        A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence to consistently deliver and demonstrate voco™ service standards to our voco® hosts.

·        A true “team-player” mentality and flexible attitude towards a diverse set of tasks.

·        Excellent communication skills in English.  Another language is always a plus.

·        You are experienced in training and coaching staff

·        Having a ‘Leermeester’, BHV and/or Social Hygiene certificate is preferred
