What you can expect

We are looking for flexible Food & Beverage employees to join our Banqueting team, Le Camelia Restaurant, Room Service and Restaurant Serre.

The Banquet Operations department at Hotel Okura Amsterdam is the largest Banquet Operations department among five-star hotels in the Netherlands and is a market leader in banqueting revenue and quality. Working in Banqueting is challenging and rewarding. No day is the same, and to maintain the highest possible level of service for our guests, we work closely together within our team as well as with other departments. Together, you will help create unforgettable large-scale events at Hotel Okura Amsterdam.

Restaurant Serre opened in 2011 and was awarded a Bib Gourmand for its excellent value for money. At Restaurant Serre, a selection of signature dishes from Ciel Bleu from previous years is presented in a new way. The menu features both classic and innovative dishes and offers an international mix of flavours and cuisines.

As a Le Camelia & Room Service employee, you will be responsible, together with the team, for serving and providing excellent service to guests in both the restaurant and Room Service. In addition, the team is responsible for replenishing minibars and taking care of VIP amenities.

As a Food & Beverage employee, you are responsible, together with the rest of the team, for exceeding our guests' expectations by paying close attention to what matters most to them. You will have extensive guest contact and be responsible for serving our guests and providing outstanding service.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Performing operational tasks, such as organising coffee breaks and lunches, taking orders, serving guests and handling payments;
• Following and delivering service according to the standards of The Leading Hotels of the World;
• Ensuring that tables and restaurants remain clean and tidy;
• Proactively selling restaurant products;
• Maintaining excellent relationships with guests;
• Carrying out daily mise en place activities.

Rest assured, you will not be working alone! In addition to working within your own team, you will also work closely with other departments across the hotel. Because only by working together can we achieve the best results. Shifts are scheduled according to the needs of the hotel and the events taking place.
