At Hotel Jansen, everything revolves around family. We are a hybrid home-hotel and offer a flexible landing ground for international young talent coming to Amsterdam to work or study. We believe in sharing time and space, resulting in a more sustainable way of living together. The privacy of your own room when you need it and a community when you want it. Our goal? To make our guests feel a little less like a tourist and a lot more like a local.
And with success! Because we are opening our second location upcoming May. With 166 hotel rooms at Hotel Jansen Schinkel and the construction of 200 hotel rooms at Hotel Jansen Bajeskwartier, we offer affordable accommodation from 1 day to 6 months and create a community of like-minded people from over 30 different countries as we believe that life gets better when sharing.
We chose the name Jansen as it is one of the oldest and most common Dutch family names. Everything in the hotel revolves around this family idea where Café Jansen is the heart of the Hotel; it is the lobby of our hotel, restaurant for the neighborhood, a workplace and the hang-out of our guests. It is a place that feels like Amsterdam, inspired by the diversity and originality of the neighborhood that surrounds us.
