Hotel Okura Amsterdam is looking for a driven Account & Events Manager Groups & Events to strengthen our ambitious Groups & Events team.

The hotel features 300 luxurious rooms, four restaurants (three of which are Michelin-starred), two bars, extensive banqueting facilities for up to 2.000 guests, and an exclusive Health Club.

Your role as Event & Account Manager Groups & Events

As an Event & Account Manager, you are responsible for managing the full lifecycle of group bookings and events, from the initial inquiry to successful execution. You build strong relationships with clients and partners, ensure seamless coordination of events, and maximize revenue through proactive sales activities and upselling. Together with the sales and events team, you deliver tailor-made solutions that meet the expectations of our high-end clientele.

Responsibilities

• Organizing conferences and events held within the hotel facilities from start to finish
• Advising and supporting clients regarding their needs and preferences prior to the event
• Responding to inquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, and conducting site visits
• Managing deposits and coordinating all financial aspects of each event
• Translating guest requirements into operational possibilities
• Creating and distributing internal function sheets and information sheets to operational departments
• Coordinating event planning and ensuring accurate execution across all involved departments
• Proactively managing the client portfolio, including key accounts, DMCs, and hotel partners
• Developing strategies for repeat business and upselling
• Monitoring market trends and competitors to optimize sales strategies
• Reporting monthly sales results and daily forecasts
• Ensuring excellent guest satisfaction and delivering 5-star service during every event, tailored to client needs
