What can you expect
The Front Office team is responsible for welcoming guests, check in and out procedures and offering information and service where needed. The Front Office team is also responsible for guiding guests to their rooms and handling payments.
The Assistant Front Office Manager ensures for a smooth and efficient working environment and furthermore coordinates the different departments within the Front Desk. You ensure for profitability and guest satisfaction. As a Front Office Manager, you are also responsible for guiding the team and complying with the standards set by both Hotel Okura Amsterdam and the Leading Hotels of the World. Your main tasks will be:
- Guiding, coaching and motivating the Front Office team;
- Close working contact with the Front Office Manager and Reservations Manager, to ensure for the right market mix and sale of room categories to achieve maximum room revenue;
- Handling guest requests and resolving any issues;
- Welcoming guests in a friendly and courteous manner and providing guest recognition as much as possible;
- Checking in and out of guests in an efficient and professional manner, according to the hotel procedures and standards of the Leading Hotels of the World;
Don't worry you will not be working alone. Besides working in your own team, you will also work with other departments in the hotel. Only by working together can we achieve the best results. Within the team there are rotating shifts throughout the 7 day work week. The shifts consist of times from 07:00 – 15:00, 11:00 – 19:00 and from 15:00 – 23:00. You will work 5 days a week, 7.6 hours a day. You are also available to work on public holidays.

- Bonus: 1 week salary when budgeted GOP is achieved and minimum total score of successful in your evaluation

What are we asking?
Of course, we are first and foremost interested in you and what we as an employer can do for you to provide a great workplace. Nevertheless we expect from you that:
- You have a (Middelbare) Hotelschool diploma;
- You are motivated and flexible;
- You possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position in Front Office;
- Knowledge of the Opera system is an advantage;
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English language (both spoken as written);
