Our Mercure Banqueting Service Employee ensures a smooth running of the day-to-day operations in our venues and work in a great team to create a unique and personalized guest experience in our Bar Timeless, in our Restaurant Clockwise, In Room Dining or in one of our Meeting Rooms. Our successful Banqueting Service Employee is able to work in an enthusiastic and young team. You are an example in the finishing touch for the F&B venues, and in putting the guest at ease with a natural way of serving.

As a Banqueting Service Employee, you will be responsible for setting up our 8 meeting rooms, make sure that breaks and refreshments are done according to meeting schedules, adjust preferences according to wishes of the client and help out in our F&B outlets. The main goal being to ensure a smooth running of the F&B department through adequate teamwork. 

Your day will consist of…

  • Setting up meeting rooms: Prepare meeting rooms with tables, chairs, audiovisual equipment, and other necessities according to client requirements.

  • Serving drinks and food: Serve guests with drinks and meals, and make recommendations for additional products (upselling).

  • Leading by example: Always set an example in hospitality and professionalism, both with guests and colleagues.

  • Transaction registration: Accurately input orders and payments into Opera and Micros systems.

  • Opening/closing shifts: Ensure a smooth start or end of the workday, including managing materials, inventory, and administrative tasks.

  • Advising guests about Amersfoort: Provide friendly and informative advice on local attractions and activities.

  • Communication with other departments: Collaborate with the kitchen and other departments for smooth service, including coordinating events and deliveries.

  • Inventory management: Check inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of supplies such as food, drinks, and tableware.

  • Compliance with food safety: Ensure adherence to food safety and HACCP guidelines.
