Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus is looking for a creative and ambitious breakfast chef to strengthen our team. As a breakfast chef you are responsible for preparing an extensive and varied breakfast buffet for our guests.

As a breakfast chef, you will work with a team of passionate professionals in one of the most prestigious hotels in the Netherlands. We strive to spoil every guest with our dishes. You play a crucial role as a breakfast chef in this process and you are the person who ensures that our guests start their day with a delicious breakfast.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing dishes/dish portions for our breakfast/lunch;
• Carrying out preparatory work such as washing, cutting, pre-cooking, mixing/stirring, cooking, etc.;
• Assessing the ingredients to be used for freshness, shelf life, etc.; - - Carrying out preparation processes;
• Monitoring/checking doneness, taste, color, fluidity, etc.;
• Making plates/dishes ready for passing on by carrying out à la minute cooking tasks. Portioning and garnishing according to established instructions regarding ingredients, recipe, working methods and external presentation;
• Monitoring shelf life and hygiene;
• Providing input for the menu, menus, etc. to be included;
• Cleaning the working environment, kitchen equipment and machines;
• Preparing meals for company employees.
• You are responsible for the daily operations in the kitchen and you are partly responsible for the production and service of a consistently high quality.

What are you taking with you?

• You have at least an MBO 3 chef's diploma.
• You can work independently
• You are flexible in terms of working hours
• You can handle stressful situations well
• You speak Dutch or English
• You live in the Haaglanden region
• You have knowledge of HACCP.
