nhow Amsterdam RAI is a new social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base. 

For this iconic social hub, we are looking an enthusiastic and proactive cook who is ready to take part in a dynamic design hotel. Your culinary creations produce the nhow experiences that our guests are hoping for. Nhow Amsterdam RAI is a hotel with 650 rooms and a very dynamic kitchen operation ranging from a busy breakfast buffet (up to 700 covers, the banqueting operation, the Moana bar, and the room service. The ‘kitchen with a view’ is located on the 17th floor and that makes it one of the highest located professional kitchens in Amsterdam. The team is international and consists of the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef Breakfast, and Junior Sous Chef Banqueting, and a brigade of chefs, commis, and stewards.

What are you going to do?  

As one of the Chefs/Cooks of our kitchen you contribute to the ‘nhow’ experience of the guest through the preparation of dishes. You will be working from 15 – 23 and making food for the Moana bar and the room service. You are expected to prepare dishes according to nhow recipes and occasionally according to your own recipes. You prepare dishes by means of à la minute cooking methods and according to our standards regarding ingredients, recipes, working methods, and presentation. In addition, you are responsible for planning your daily activities and ordering ingredients and other stock replenishments. You monitor compliance with health & safety regulations and are responsible for cleaning your own workstation.
