We are seeking a passionate and talented Chef de Cuisine to lead our dynamic kitchen team. As a Chef de Cuisine of the Grand café Krasnapolsky, you will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to our continued success.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of all sections within the kitchen, overseeing all aspects of food production, hygiene, and cost control.

  • Ensure the quality and consistency of dishes.

  • Plan and organize work in the Grand Café Krasnapolsky kitchen, in collaboration with the Sous Chef.

  • Create new menus and dishes.

  • Display a passionate, fun, and enthusiastic approach to cooking to motivate the team and foster an enjoyable, cohesive, and supportive working environment.

  • Act as a role model and mentor for your team, guiding and supporting them in their personal and career development.

  • Conduct job interviews for your team.

What we wish you will bring with you

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef.

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for culinary arts.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

  • Knowledge of modern cooking techniques and trends.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus.
