Duty Management Stagiair(e) - Rotterdam

Hotel Not Hotel is looking for a Duty Management Intern who can support and coordinate the daily operational activities within the hotel. As a Duty Management Intern, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests with complaints or requests and know how to handle them in a creative and professional way.

You’ll assist in supervising colleagues, give instructions when needed, and jump in on the floor to help wherever necessary. Because of the small-scale and unique character of the hotel, you’ll spend a lot of time working directly with our guests. Your daily tasks are diverse, ranging from F&B to administrative work. You’ll report to the Hotel Manager, who will also be your internship supervisor.

Your responsibilities

• Ensuring a safe and pleasant atmosphere in the hotel for both guests and staff

• Handling guest complaints with care and ensuring proper follow-up

• Keeping SOPs and manuals up to date and monitoring compliance with procedures

• Providing instructions and guidance to support the team’s daily tasks

• Assisting the Hotel Manager with administrative duties and ensuring operational orders are carried out

• Identifying, documenting, and reporting potential improvements in workflows

• Monitoring progress and maintaining quality standards across all operations

• Onboarding and guiding fellow interns, conducting evaluations, and handling related administration

• Supporting learning programs for both new and existing employees, including specific training on areas such as hygiene and tasks at the coffee corner/self-service bar

You are

• Currently enrolled in an higher professional education (HBO) program, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or a similar field

• Experience in the hotel industry is a plus, but not required

• Spontaneous, well-presented, and able to stay calm even in busy situations

• Clear and professional in communication with both colleagues and guests

• Detail-oriented and focused on achieving the best possible results

• Solution-driven, proactive, and eager to learn

• Friendly, approachable, and easy to connect with for both guests and colleagues

• Flexible, open to personal growth, and motivated to improve work processes
