Ready to learn the art of hospitality at one of Amsterdam’s most iconic venues?

Café Americain, our stunning Art Deco restaurant located at the vibrant Leidseplein, is looking for an enthusiastic F&B Intern who wants to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and professional hospitality environment.

As part of Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American, and the international Dalata Hotel Group, we welcome guests from all over the world. From breakfast service to elegant dinners and lively terrace moments, no day is the same; and you’ll be right in the middle of it!

What will you be doing?

During your internship in our Food & Beverage department, you will learn all operational aspects of restaurant service, including:

• Welcoming and assisting guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Taking food & beverage orders and serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks
• Learning the sequence of service and ensuring high-quality guest experiences
• Advising guests about menu items, ingredients and allergens
• Supporting in wine and beverage service
• Preparing and maintaining the restaurant (mise-en-place, polishing, setting tables)
• Working with our POS system
• Collaborating closely with the team to ensure smooth service

You will be actively involved in daily operations while developing your service skills, product knowledge and confidence on the floor.

Who are we looking for?

You are:

• Currently following a hospitality-related study (MBO or HBO level)
• Service-minded and eager to learn
• Fluent in English and Dutch (extra languages are a plus!)
• Presentable, communicative and guest-focused
• Proactive, responsible and able to handle busy service moments
• Interested in developing knowledge about food, wine and beverages
• Most importantly, you bring energy and a positive attitude to the team.
