Job description:
As a Finance Intern, you will be part of the Finance team and support your colleagues in their daily financial activities. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic hospitality environment, gaining insight into the financial processes that contribute to a smoothly running organisation.
What will you do?
Support the Finance team in various day-to-day financial and administrative tasks;
Collaborate with the Front Office, Food & Beverage, Meetings & Events, and Sales departments to verify and reconcile financial information;
Process supplier invoices within the accounts payable administration
Assist with both accounts payable and accounts receivable administration, including following up on outstanding invoices;
Communicate with suppliers and corporate clients regarding outstanding invoices and payments;
Assist with daily cashflow and revenue reconciliations for the hotel, restaurant, bar, and banqueting operations;
Support month-end closing activities and perform administrative checks;
Contribute ideas to optimize and automate financial and administrative processes.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn student who is willing to get hands-on and support the Finance team wherever needed. You are accurate, proactive, and enjoy working in a dynamic hospitality environment.
In addition:
You are following a higher professional education (HBO/Bachelor) in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy, Hotel Management, or a related field;
You work in a structured way and have strong attention to detail;
You are communicative and easily interact with colleagues, suppliers, and other external contacts;
You have a sense of responsibility and are not afraid to take initiative;
You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and quickly familiarise yourself with new systems;
You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
You have an affinity with hospitality and are eager to learn more about the financial side of a hotel organisation.
