We are Conscious Group, we offer the most sustainable stay and a seamless guest experience in a fun atmosphere. We have 9 hotels, 3 restaurants and 3 coffee bars, divided between two brands: Conscious Hotels and Hotel V. Now, Conscious Hotels Westerpark is looking for a parttime Front Office Host. Sounds like something for you? Read on!

As the first point of contact for everyone who walks into our hotels, you are the go-to person at the front desk. You are responsible for everything from check-in, upselling our products and services, Amsterdam expert to check-out. In our beautiful hotels you don't have to hide behind a reception desk, but walk around so the guest is really the center of attention. Is a guest having trouble checking in or out via the self-service check-in system? You'll be happy to explain and give them some great tips on how to explore beautiful Amsterdam on a rental bike.

As a true storyteller and fan of our sustainable concept you love to share the story of Conscious. Guests can come to you for all the ins and outs of Conscious Hotels and Amsterdam. Whether it's recommending great places to eat, helping with the transport, or just having a nice conversation, you've got it! It will give you energy to connect with guests all day long and make delicious coffees (say hello to your new barista skills!). You will also be busy upselling sustainable products in our shops, switching between different departments and solving complaints and possible problems. This way every day flies by!

Job requirements and personal qualities

Hospitality is in your DNA, you know what the guest needs
Preferably you have experience in (international) hotels or in the hospitality industry
Flexible, with shifts from 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00
You speak English fluently
Preferably you live in or near Amsterdam
You have a proactive attitude, can switch quickly and pick up working with different systems
You are a team player but can also work independently
Affinity with sustainable trends and organic products is a big plus
It is useful if you already have experience with complaint handling and knowledge of HACCP
You’re looking for a flexible part-time job — a fun side job to have alongside your studies, for example.
