As a Front Office Shift Leader, you play a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience at Haven Hotel Rotterdam, Curio Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre. Working across both hotels, which operate under one roof, you ensure that the Front Office runs smoothly, efficiently, and professionally.

Together with the team of Front Office Shift Leaders, you are responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the department. You work closely with the Front Desk Managers and the Front Office Manager, who together oversee the Front Office operations across both hotels. As a Shift Leader, you report to the Front Desk Manager of the hotel you are working in and actively contribute to strong teamwork, a consistent guest experience, and a positive working environment.

With your hospitality experience, coaching mindset, and commitment to quality, you support and inspire your colleagues while helping bring the department's vision to life. You are a visible presence on the floor, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to a culture where hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Your responsibilities are:

• Leading the Front Office team during your shift and ensuring an efficient distribution of tasks;

• Providing every guest with a warm welcome and delivering exceptional, professional service;

• Coaching, mentoring, and training both new and existing team members;

• Ensuring compliance with operational procedures, quality standards, and Hilton service levels;

• Performing and reviewing Front Office administrative tasks;

• Identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to the optimization of operational processes;

• Maintaining effective communication and collaboration with other hotel departments;

• Supporting the resolution of guest inquiries, complaints, and operational challenges;

• Working flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional hospitality colleague who is eager to become part of a dynamic Front Office team. Ideally, you have experience working at a hotel reception and have previously held a Shift Leader, Front Office Supervisor, or similar supervisory role.

You have completed a degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field, or you have gained relevant experience within the hospitality industry. You are flexible, learn quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Experience with a Property Management System (PMS) is preferred, and familiarity with PEP is an advantage, but not essential. More importantly, you are passionate about hospitality, guest satisfaction, and continuously developing yourself within our hotels.

In addition, you:

• Are flexible and willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays;

• Present yourself professionally and confidently;

• Have excellent communication skills and are fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written;

• Work accurately, take responsibility, and have a solution-oriented mindset;

• Enjoy working as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive working environment.
