What can you expect

The Reservations team strives for the optimal mix of hotel rooms, restaurants, banquet space and other hotel facilities for a successful stay or event.

As a Group Reservations Agent, you are responsible for accepting and processing group enquires and reservations, from 10 hotel rooms per night, all in accordance with the standards set by Leading Hotels of the World. You are also responsible for maintaining existing contacts and acquiring new contacts. You are involved in telephone sales and the main contact during the stay of the group. You will work closely with the Groups & Events department, who is responsible for selling rooms in combination with our meeting facilities.

Your main tasks will be:

• Informing guests about the hotel facilities and up-selling / cross-selling of these facilities;
• Evaluation of the stay with contacts after a group departure to further improve service and increase recurring bookings;
• Sending out group contracts in accordance with the Uniform Conditions of the Hotel industry policy;
• Distributing information sheets to the relevant departments;
• Apply policies regarding cancellations.

Don't worry you will not be working alone. Besides working in your own team, you will also work with other departments in the hotel. Work is carried out in shifts throughout a 7-day workweek. You will work 5 days per week, 7.6 hours a day. You are expected to be present from time to time for projects and network events. You are also available to work on holidays.

What are we asking?

• You have work experience in a similar position;
• Excellent knowledge of both Dutch and English (oral and written);
• You are commercially driven;
• Sales experience is an advantage;
• Knowledge of the PMS System Opera is an advantage;
