About Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park

Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park is our first 5-star hotel and is located on the green Oosterpark in Amsterdam East. The hotel opened in November 2022 and quickly achieved a #1 ranking on TripAdvisor in the Netherlands. With 88 rooms and suites, a fine dining restaurant, café brasserie Spring, several bars, meeting rooms and an urban spa, everything revolves around one thing: making every moment unforgettable for our guests.

About the internship

During this internship, you will be part of the Guest Relations team and will literally be at the heart of our guests' experience. You will learn how personal service is designed before arrival, during the stay and after departure. You will work with various departments on a daily basis, work closely with management and gain a good understanding of how a 5-star hotel is run.

 

What will you be doing?

•    Following up on guest complaints and requests, with an eye for detail and appropriate solutions

•    Processing and coordinating special requests before and during the stay

•    Maintaining active contact with guests before, during and after their stay

•    Proactively contributing to reputation management: reading, following up on and responding to reviews

•    Sharing responsibility for the day-to-day running of the spa, including bookings, guest reception, payments and presentation of the space

•    Providing amenities in the room, such as personal gifts and handwritten cards

•    Supporting various departments in operation, with a focus on Front Office, Brasserie Spring, Banqueting and Housekeeping

•    Organising the daily kick-off meeting with the Management Team, during which you discuss what is happening in the hotel that day and what needs to be done
