Papa’s Loft House, the hotspot of Gelderlandplein, is now looking for a new Head Chef!
Would you like to work in a newly renovated kitchen with a massive rooftop terrace? Then keep reading!

As Head Chef, you are responsible for the daily operations in the kitchen. You lead the team, create the schedules, act as a go-to person for your colleagues, and take on a coaching role. You ensure there’s always enough stock, and you keep an eye on costs. You'll also be involved in the preparation and execution of events such as BBQs and walking dinners, both in our restaurant and on the rooftop.

You enjoy contributing ideas for the future of our brand and love to serve guests with honest, delicious food. In addition, you help brainstorm and organize inspiring outings for the kitchen teams across all Papa’s Houses.

Papa’s is a proven concept since 1989, with its first location, Papa’s Beach House, situated by a beautiful lake in the Haarlemmermeer Forest in Hoofddorp. Our second location is now open at the Element Amsterdam Hotel, located in the Gelderlandplein shopping mall, featuring a stunning rooftop: Papa’s Loft House.

Our products are pure, fresh, and locally sourced. Papa’s also offers a variety of options for hosting private events such as BBQs, walking dinners, business receptions, and weddings.

Element by Westin, located in the same building as Papa’s Loft House, is part of Marriott International. This lifestyle hotel features 160 modern, nature-inspired design rooms and several meeting spaces — all with smart, sustainable design.

A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF…

The kitchen is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 21:00.
You are responsible for the operational management of the kitchen, including staffing, team structure, inventory control, HACCP, recipe consistency, and stock management. You’ll report to the Operations Manager and have weekly meetings to stay aligned. You’ll create the team schedule at least 3 weeks in advance, so everyone knows what to expect.

Are you currently a Sous Chef or Chef ready to grow? Then this is your chance!

A passionate professional with lots of energy
Knowledge of hygiene and HACCP regulations, cooking techniques, purchasing prices, InOne, Nostradamus, and general trends in the market
Bonus points if you can delight our guests with beautiful dishes from the Green Egg
