The objective of the position of independent working chef at Brasserie Ambassade is to prepare our dishes from the classic French cuisine, presented with a modern twist. You will be responsible for your own section and work independently to create and perfect our signature dishes. Alongside the F&B team, you will ensure consistent and excellent service, ensuring guests return time and again.

Daily tasks

  • Quality control: Inspecting dishes for taste, presentation, and consistency before they are served to guests.

  • Mise en place: Preparing and organizing all ingredients and supplies for lunch and/or dinner.

  • Menu preparation: Independently preparing dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications, with precision and quality being essential.

Projects

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the breakfast buffet in collaboration with the F&B team.

Teamwork and collaboration

  • Enthusiastically sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.

  • An important point of contact for both guests and the team.

Who are you?

• Experienced: You have at least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
• French cuisine knowledge:
Skilled in classic French cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
• Organized:
Able to efficiently run your own section and manage time and resources effectively.
• Resilient under pressure:
You stay calm and focused during peak service hours.
• Team player:
You communicate clearly and collaborate well with colleagues in both the kitchen and service team.
• Hygiene-conscious:
You strictly adhere to food safety and cleanliness standards
