This is an operational role, where the Junior Sous Chef will actively participate in shifts and contribute to the day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities of the Head Chef:
- Ensures the smooth running of the kitchen department, where all aspects of the guest dining experience throughout the entire hotel are delivered at the highest level.
- Communicates well throughout all operational kitchen shifts with clear handovers, mise-en-place and supports the Executive Sous and Chef where needed in senior tasks.
- Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, providing a positive and timely response to inquiries and resolving issues.
- Leads and manages the kitchen team, fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance within the department.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
Requirements for the Head Chef:
- Proven experience in a kitchen, with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and a lead-by-example work style
- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
- Ability to find creative solutions and offer advice and recommendations
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy
- Strong communication skills to all operational kitchen & stewarding shifts e.g. handovers, mise-en-place & ordering
