About your role

As a Junior Sous Chef, you are the right hand of the Head Chef and play a key role in the daily operation of the kitchen. You actively work alongside the team and take the lead when the Head Chef is absent.

Together, you ensure that our guests enjoy high-quality breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. You work with dishes inspired by the Cali Baja kitchen: modern, fresh, and full of flavor.

You thrive in a dynamic environment where you can cook, support your team, and keep the kitchen running smoothly.

What’s cooking?

  • What will you do?

  • Actively work in the kitchen and support daily operations

  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef

  • Prepare and present dishes with a strong focus on quality and consistency

  • Contribute to the development of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banqueting menus

  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and HACCP guidelines within the F&B department

  • Coach, train, and motivate colleagues on the work floor

  • Manage stock, place orders, and monitor product quality

  • Contribute ideas for improvements, efficiency, and innovation in the kitchen

Who are we looking for?

You have a passion for cooking and are eager to keep developing yourself. You take responsibility and help your team move forward.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • Experience as a (Demi) Chef de Partie or (Junior) Sous Chef

  • Team player with a positive and proactive attitude

  • Flexible and stress-resistant in a dynamic environment

  • Ambitious, creative, and quality-driven

  • Good knowledge of HACCP and kitchen structure

  • Fluent in English (the Head Chef speaks English)

What do we offer you?

You will join a flat organization with a close-knit kitchen team of five driven chefs and two dishwashers.

  • Based on a full-time contract (38 hours per week), we offer a gross monthly salary based on scale VII of the Dutch Hospitality CLA, starting from €3,000 gross per month

  • 25 vacation days per year

  • Travel allowance up to €23 per day based on commuting distance
