What can you expect

As a Waiter/Waitress you are responsible together with your team, for exceeding guest expectations, by focusing on what they find most important. You are in close guest contact and responsible for offering service to all guests specially in the Panorama Lounge ( as part of Le Camelia Restaurant & Roomservice)

The Panorama Lounge is an exclusive VIP place on the 22nd floor with sweeping city views, tailored for relaxation and refined moments. Open daily from 7am to 10pm, this elegant lounge welcomes guests from Executive Rooms and Suites, offering a perfect setting to relax, meet, or enjoy light bites and drinks throughout the day.

Your main tasks will be:

• Serving our guests during their stay in Hotel Okura Amsterdam according to the standards that have been set by the hotel (align with standards of Leading Hotels of the World);

• Focusing on guest contact;

• Performing tasks for Mise en Place on a daily basis;

• Being responsible of the tasks in the Panorama Lounge;

• Arranging VIP treatments in close collaboration with Guest Relations.

• You are able to work in the Le Camelia Restaurant & Room Service if this is necessary

What do we offer?

• Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extending. We want you to stay!
• Salary: Group 3. Click HERE for the salary scale
• Bonus: 1 month salary when the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP (Gross Operating Profit) level and you get a minimum total score of successful in your yearend evaluation
• 8% holiday allowance (pro rata);
• 25 vacation days per year (pro rata).

• Horeca CAO applies;

• General Survivors pension;
• Attractive family and friends rates on overnight stays at Hotel Okura Amsterdam;
• Once a year staff discount in one of the restaurants (50%);
• Staff discount in our restaurants (20%);
• Contribution to travel expenses from 10 km (one way);
• Study budget of €1.000;
• After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest!

What are we asking?

Of course, we are first and foremost interested in you and what we as an employer can do for you to provide a great workplace. Nevertheless we expect from you that:

• You are guest orientated;
• You have an eye for detail;
• Relevant work experience (1-2 years) in a similar position and/or business is an advantage;
• You are flexible in regards to shifts;
• You live in or within the vicinity of Amsterdam;
• You have a good command of the Dutch and/or English language (both spoken as written);
