As a Steward/Afwasser, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout our kitchens and back-of-house areas. Working closely with the kitchen team, you will play a key role in supporting efficient operations and creating a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for both guests and colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Clean and maintain china, glassware, silverware, kitchen utensils, and chefs' equipment to the highest standards
* Carry out dishwashing and deep-cleaning duties for kitchen machinery, kitchen areas, storage facilities, and back-of-house colleague areas
* Ensure all cleaning activities are completed in accordance with hygiene, HACCP, Health & Safety, and company standards
* Support the kitchen and Food & Beverage teams by maintaining clean, organised, and safe working environments
* Report maintenance issues, incidents, accidents, and safety concerns while following company procedures and guidelines
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and efficient team environment
Essential Requirements
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Flexible availability to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required
* Ability to communicate effectively in English
* Eligible to work in the Netherlands
Preferred Requirements
* Previous experience in a Steward, Kitchen Porter, Cleaning, or Hospitality Support role
* Basic knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and cleaning procedures
* Experience working in a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment
* Interest in developing a career in hospitality or becoming a Chef in the future

This role is paid according to the Horeca CAO Scale II (Schaal II), starting from €2,422.25 gross per month (full-time equivalent), pro rata based on hours worked.
