Work in a place where quality, pace and teamwork come together. For a beautiful 5 star hotel on the Dutch coast we are looking for an independent chef who gets energy from a dynamic kitchen and wants to be part of a professional brigade.

You will work with high quality products, in a well organised kitchen and within a clear structure. Accommodation is available, making this role very interesting if you are coming from further away or would like to live and work at the coast for a longer period.

Why this role matters

As an independent chef you make sure your section runs smoothly during every service. You guard quality, keep overview during busy moments and actively support the team to deliver strong services.

During high season the pace increases significantly and expectations are high. It is important that you are able to speed up when needed, stay focused under pressure and genuinely enjoy working in a fast paced environment without compromising on quality.

What you will do

• Run your own section independently during lunch and dinner service
• Prepare mise en place and think along in daily planning
• Maintain high standards in quality, presentation and hygiene
• Switch gears and accelerate during busy services
• Work closely with the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Contribute ideas for dishes and improvements in the kitchen

Who you are

• You have experience as an independent chef or chef de partie
• You are physically fit and able to work consistently at a high pace
• You stay structured and focused when pressure builds
• You enjoy working hard during service and get energy from busy kitchens
• You are a team player who takes responsibility
• You are open to living and working at the coast temporarily or long term

What you get

• Salary: approximately €2,700 – €3,100 gross per month (depending on experience)
• Hours: Fulltime
• Contract: 1 year contract with the possibility of extension
• Accommodation: Available for €350 – €600 per month
