What can you expect

Nagomi is the Japanese word for “ to calm” and is the essence of the spa. The carefully chosen selection of treatments ensure for full guest relaxation. The Spa menu offers an exclusive selection of facial treatments, massages, manicures, pedicures and body treatments with the use of Sothys products from France. In Nagomi Health, all facilities include the pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath and fitness area. The facilities are available for hotel guests, members and guests who book for a treatment.

As Nagomi Spa & Health Manager, you are responsible for the wellness and health aspect of Hotel Okura Amsterdam. You are the main contact person of the department, external guests who make use of the Spa, and an exclusive group of 200 Health Club members. You will work closely with your team and other departments, in order to exceed the guest expectations. You lead the team and will be responsible for the complete HR cycle. Your main tasks will be:

• Lead and develop the Nagomi team through coaching, recruitment, performance management and creating a positive, high-performing culture
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences by building lasting relationships, maintaining a visible presence and continuously improving the member journey.
• Ensure operational excellence by maintaining luxury service standards, health & safety compliance, facility quality and efficient day-to-day operations.
• Drive commercial performance by achieving revenue, profit and membership targets while identifying opportunities for growth and cost optimisation.
• Collaborate across departments and with Marketing to strengthen the Nagomi brand, increase visibility and contribute to the overall success

You are available 3 until 4 days per week and flexible with shifts including weekends and national holidays.

What do we offer?

• Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extending.
• Salary: Group 8. Click HERE for the salary scale 
• Bonus: 1 month salary when the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP (Gross Operating Profit) and you get a minimum total score of successful in your yearend evaluation
• 8% holiday allowance (pro rata);
• 25 vacation days per year (pro rata).

• After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest!

What are we asking?

Of course, we are first and foremost interested in you and what we as an employer can do for you to provide a great workplace. Nevertheless we expect from you that:

• At least 2 years of relevant managerial experience preferably in the hospitality sector
• Minimim MBO level study or thinking level
• You are capable to make day to day operational decisions and maintain good relationship with team members and Nagomi members
• You can work minimum 0.60 FTE and flexible (including weekends and holidays)
• Dutch language skills is an advantage
