Painter - Amsterdam

Responsibilities:
As a Painter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and overall presentation of our hotel. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and other structures, are well-painted and visually pleasing. You will collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to enhance the overall guest experience

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, smoothing, and patching imperfections to ensure an even and durable finish.

• Cover surfaces with appropriate materials such as drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas from paint splatter. Apply paint, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

• Ensure the use of appropriate techniques for each surface type and location within the hotel.

• Inspect and repair damaged surfaces before applying paint to maintain a high-quality appearance.

• Address any touch-up or repainting needs promptly to uphold the hotel's standards.

• Maintain an organized inventory of painting supplies, and report any shortages to the Chief Engineer.

• Conduct regular inspections to assess the quality and durability of painted surfaces, addressing any issues promptly.

What are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate has previous experience in hotels or a similar working environment and places a high value on hospitality.

To successfully fulfill this role, it is important that you master the following skills:

• Minimum 2 years proven experience as a painter, preferably in a hotel or similar setting

• Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for color matching.

• Problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills in English, fluency in Dutch is a plus

• A positive, proactive and assertive attitude

• Ability to work under pressure
