Volkshotel is a place for single mums, dandies, artists and night owls. A place where there’s life 24/7 and creativity flows. Do you have an eye for detail, can you be deployed flexibly and is order and tidiness your second nature? Then you will be welcome in our housekeeping team. As a housekeeping assistant, you are a key figure at Volkshotel. You ensure that our hotel rooms are sparkling clean and free of dust and you are a visible element of the hotel.

This is what your average day looks like:

Want to do some exercise before starting your working day? That is possible. All employees can make free use of the weekly yoga lessons at Volkshotel. You clock in before starting your shift and change in the dressing rooms. Subsequently you will be briefed by your supervisor. Then your shift starts. Your work ensures an excellent initial impression of the hotel rooms. This means for instance: freshly made beds, clean floors and replenishing towels. But also signalling any technical failures and welcoming our guests in the corridors. During your break, you engage in social conversation with colleagues. Has your shift ended? You do not need to go home yet. Take a dip in our hot tubs or visit the sauna on the eighth floor. You can make free use of them. In addition, as an employee you get a discount on everything (programming, rooms, food & drink) in the hotel.

What else do we find important?

• You are able to work fast (the objective for our standard check-out room is to have it cleaned within 21 minutes)
• You have a strong physique
• You are agile, to be able to reach our bunk beds
• Experience in working with productivity targets is an advantage
• You are available on weekends

What can we offer?

It concerns an agreement for 6 hours per day, 5 days a week. Salary level based on the hospitality industry CLA (reference function T.3.I grade 3 € 2.204,48 - € 2.386,19 per month) and a contract with Volkshotel directly. As an employee of Volkshotel you can stay at the hotel one night per year for free.
