For the Holiday Inn Express Utrecht Papendorp & Holiday Inn Express The Hague Parliament we are looking for an Maintenance Employee.

Our passionate Quality & Maintenance team is looking for an independent and experienced colleague with a great passion for everything that has to do with quality and technology for our hotel.

Job description

Together with the General Manager and the Cluster Maintenance Manager you are involved as an Employee Technical Service in everything related to maintenance and technology inside and outside the hotel. This is a versatile and a varied position in which you are responsible for the quick and efficient resolving of problems and malfunctions, the follow-up of complaints and preventive technical expert work within the various hotels. Also the maintenance in the rooms and in the public areas of the hotels belongs to you. You are responsible for maintaining the unique appearance of the various hotels and the corresponding guest rooms. You will also be immersed in the many installations that the hotels have at their disposal and you will be able to maintain your position both as a team and independently. We are looking for solid experience, a 'hands on' mentality, someone with a good working spirit and who expects a high quality of work from both themselves and colleagues.

Main tasks and responsibilities 

• Eliminating faults and repairs to equipment, plumbing, lighting and locks

• Performing (repair) paintwork

• Engaging third parties / mechanics in the event of faults in energy supply, central heating, elevators via the manager and coordinators. After this you need to check these third parties / mechanics

• Inventory monitoring of materials (for example: lamps, furniture, small appliances)

• Perform general activities such as connecting audio-visual equipment and cleaning / cleaning up public areas and the outside area on behalf of managers

Job requirements

• Minimal MBO working and thinking level, supplemented with specialist courses

• At least 2 years of work experience in a similar job. Work experience in a hotel environment is an advantage

• Communicative skills in Dutch and English

• You live near the hotel / are able to reach it

• You have driving license B.

Who are we?

On 24th April 2013 the hotel Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station was opened. The hotel is located in the heart of Rotterdam, right next to the shopping and entertainment area in the city centre. Within 500 meters from Central Station of Rotterdam you are at the accommodation. In addition, the hotel has a soundproofed lobby and soundproofed rooms, so that there is no problem with the busy crossroads next to it. In total, the hotel has 214 rooms and there is the possibility to work out. With the right attitude, growth within our hotels it is in everyone's reach.

The Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station belongs to the portfolio of The Vincent Hotel Group. This is the umbrella organisation that has a total of 11 hotels and a head office (Support Office).
