Waiter/Waitress - Amsterdam

Objective

As a service staff member, you are jointly responsible for the atmosphere and service at Brasserie Ambassade, a place where guests, from hotel visitors to regular locals, feel welcome at any time of day.

Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a good glass of wine, you make sure everything feels just right. You have an eye for detail, anticipate guests’ needs, and contribute to a relaxed, personal experience.

Daily tasks
You start your shift by preparing the service and ensuring the workspace is ready. Depending on your shift, you will work during breakfast, lunch, or dinner — each moment requiring a slightly different energy and approach. 

During service, you welcome guests, take orders, and provide thoughtful recommendations from the menu. You maintain an overview, adapt where needed, and ensure everything runs smoothly in a natural, unintrusive way. You serve food and beverages and make sure guests feel noticed without being overly present. Afterward, you process payments and prepare tables for the next guests. 

Between services, you and your colleagues ensure the workspace remains tidy and well stocked.

Teamwork and collaboration
You work closely with the F&B team and the kitchen. Communication lines are short, and collaboration comes naturally. Together, you deliver a consistent level of service, giving guests a clear sense of what to expect. Reliability is that makes them want to return.
