We are looking for an inspiring, hands-on Front Office Manager to lead our guest experience, manage daily reception operations, and serve as a vital pillar of our small management team.

Position Summary

As the Front Office Manager in a small boutique setting, you are both the strategic leader and the ultimate host. This is a true "leading by example" role: because we operate with a tight, dedicated team, you will actively work regular reception shifts on the desk alongside your team. You will split your time between running flawless operational shifts (welcoming guests, handling check-ins/check-outs) and managing the administrative, reservation, and leadership responsibilities behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Shifts: Actively work standard front desk shifts, providing a warm, high-end boutique welcome, handling check-ins, check-outs, guest requests, and phone inquiries.

  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Recruit, train, schedule, and inspire our small reception team to deliver personalized, meticulous service.

  • Inventory & Reservation Management: Oversee room allocations, group blocks, and rate configurations to maximize occupancy and revenue, keeping a sharp eye on our room categories.

  • Guest Relations: Personally handle guest feedback with empathy and quick, creative problem-solving, maintaining our high satisfaction scores.

  • Close Collaboration: Coordinate tightly with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure seamless room turnarounds, property upkeep, and fluid internal communication.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: At least 2–3 years of hospitality experience in a Front Office leadership or senior reception role. Experience in a boutique or independent hotel is highly valued!

  • Hands-on Mindset: You love being on the floor, interacting with guests, and working shifts. You thrive in a small-team environment where everyone rolls up their sleeves.

  • Systems Knowledge: Strong proficiency with modern Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), channel managers, and basic Extranets.

  • Legal Status: You must hold a valid EU passport or a valid, unrestricted Dutch work permit (BSN required). We cannot provide visa sponsorship.

  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; professional proficiency in Dutch or an additional European language is a major advantage.
