The Hague Marriott, the largest conference hotel in The Hague with 306 rooms and an extensive MICE offering, is looking for a driven Sales Manager – Commercial Hunter to actively generate new business with energy, confidence and creativity.

We are looking for a true hunter and lead generator: someone who opens new doors on a daily basis, proactively engages the market and consistently delivers new revenue across both Rooms and Meetings & Events.

Your Mission:
Your main objective is to drive maximum revenue growth by actively acquiring new business within the corporate, MICE and international segments.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Sales & Lead generation

o   Actively approach new prospects through calls, visits, networking, events and trade shows.

o   Generate new leads on a daily basis and independently convert them into confirmed business (cold acquisition).

o   Target corporate clients, travel trade, MICE partners, DMCs and PCOs.

2.      Strategic Business Development

o   Identify market trends, spot opportunities and strengthen our market position.

o   Initiate and execute sales campaigns to maximize conversion.

o   Work closely with Revenue Management on pricing strategies, market opportunities and segmentation.

3.      Partnerships & Relationship Management

o   Build and maintain strong partnerships with MICE distribution channels and corporate accounts.

o   Represent the hotel within business networks and industry associations on local, regional and national level.

o   Organize and host Marriott client events and hospitality activities.

4.      Collaboration & Commercial Impact

o   Work closely with the Conference & Events Team to convert leads and generate repeat business.

o   Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Revenue Manager within the commercial team.

o   Report commercial performance to the General Manager and Area VP Strategy (YTL Hotels- owning company).

o   Actively contribute to annual sales budgets, Sales & Marketing plans and monthly reporting.

About You:

You are an energetic commercial professional who thrives in a competitive market and enjoys closing deals. You think strategically, act proactively and represent the brand with confidence and professionalism.

You bring:

·         2–4 years of experience in hotel sales (corporate, MICE or travel trade).

·         A true hunter mentality — proactive, independent and results-driven.

·         A strong network within relevant commercial segments.

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills.

·         Fluency in both Dutch and English.

·         Flexibility to manage a dynamic schedule with regular client visits and networking activities.
