We are seeking an Events Manager to oversee the seamless execution of events and contribute to the day-to-day management of our Cecconi’s Amsterdam restaurant. This role is ideal for someone with strong operational and events experience, exceptional leadership qualities, and a passion for hospitality.
Events at Soho House Amsterdam range from intimate private dinners and daytime meetings to large-scale celebrations and post-wedding parties. You will be a consistent, reliable presence that leads by example, motivates the team, and elevates the experience for both members and guests.
As a key member of the Soho House team, your mission is to ensure every guest enjoys a truly memorable experience. With natural charm and genuine warmth, you will help create an environment where people feel welcome, inspired, and looked after.
Main responsibilities ...
Run the day to day operation according to company standards
Adhere to and enforce company service and product standards
Lead, nurture and develop the Cecconi's events team to ensure staff retention
Support the Cecconi's Restaurant Manager with achieving your administrative responsibilities
Ensure all events are organized and planned in time for deadlines and communicated appropriately
Attend, and run events operation to ensure smooth running, lead, inspire and coach the operational team
Work closely with the Groups & Events coordinator and Manager from the organization to the execution of events
Work in Cecconi’s with the floor managers when there are no events
Manage 'Private Dining Room' events as part of events operations
Built relationships with the, freelance agencies and third parties to ensure events are covered
Screen / interview / Hire 0 hour events team
Maintain a strong organizational presence across these events

What we are looking for
Have a minimum of 3 to 4 years previous experience in a professional, high quality, service orientated operation
Experience and proficiency in Banqueting
Strong proficiency in organisation, problem solving and communication.
Must have a passion for food and beverage and guest satisfaction
Must be flexible to work according to the events requirements including occasional evenings and weekends.
Ability to multitask and work towards targets in a fast-paced environment, whilst being resilient and capable of managing stressful situations.
Fluent in English communication skills essential. Fluent in Dutch communication skills is a bonus
