What are my responsibilities?

As an Executive Housekeeper, you lead the Housekeeping (Styling) operation of our 500-room Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel with structure, confidence and a sharp eye for detail. You are responsible for delivering outstanding standards of cleanliness across all guest rooms and public areas, ensuring every space is spotless, well-maintained and ready to welcome our guests.

In a high-volume, fast-paced environment, you keep the overview while managing the details. You lead and motivate a large team, plan efficiently around occupancy peaks and ensure quality, productivity and consistency remain high at all times. Through clear leadership and strong organisation, you create a culture where excellence in cleanliness is simply the standard.

In this role you will:

· Lead the daily Housekeeping (Styling) operation, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness across guest rooms, public areas and back of house spaces.

· Plan and organise the department efficiently, aligning staffing models and productivity with occupancy levels in a high volume 500 room environment.

· Inspire, guide and develop a large housekeeping team, creating clear expectations, accountability and a strong culture of pride in quality.

· Build strong supervisory capability and succession pipelines through structured training, coaching and performance management.

· Work closely with other Heads of Department and the leadership team to align housekeeping priorities with overall operational goals.

· Monitor quality standards, conduct regular inspections and take decisive action to maintain consistency and excellence.

· Own and actively manage Housekeeping financial performance, including CPOR, labor productivity, forecasting accuracy and operating supply control.

· Manage budgets, costs and inventory responsibly, ensuring efficiency without compromising standards.

· Build agile staffing strategies aligned with occupancy patterns, maintaining the right balance between in house and external labor while ensuring compliance and productivity targets.

· Utilize housekeeping technology and data insights to drive efficiency, improve planning accuracy and support continuous improvement.

· Ensure full compliance with Marriott brand standards, LQA requirements and internal quality programs, translating guest feedback into measurable action plans.

· Partner closely with Engineering to protect room asset quality through structured room care programs and proactive defect reporting.

· Drive sustainable housekeeping practices that support the hotel’s environmental commitments, including responsible chemical use, linen management and waste reduction.

· Safeguard compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations, internal policies and brand requirements.

· Have proven experience in a senior Housekeeping leadership role, preferably within a large upscale or lifestyle hotel environment.

· Understand the operational complexity of a high-volume property and confidently manage planning, labor productivity and quality at scale.

· Demonstrate strong financial acumen, with experience managing CPOR, labor performance and departmental budgets.

· Are comfortable working with housekeeping systems and data, using insights to improve efficiency and decision making.

· Lead with confidence, clarity and a hands on mentality, while empowering supervisors to deliver results independently.

· Have strong organisational skills and an exceptional eye for detail, particularly around cleanliness and room presentation standards.

· Show a structured approach to team development, performance management and succession planning.

· Communicate clearly and effectively in English. Additional languages are a plus.

· Are eligible to work in the Netherlands.
