Your Job:

As a food runner, you are an essential part of Café Americain. You ensure that every dish is delivered quickly, correctly, and with care. You help set up and clear tables, keep the restaurant tidy, and support your colleagues wherever needed. You work with energy, attention to detail, and a strong sense of teamwork. No matter how busy it gets, you stay sharp and one step ahead.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Taking care of mice & place, such as preparing/setting tables, preparing cutlery and table linen, etc.
  • Assisting in setting up conference rooms (receptions and parties).
  • Correct, on time and full preparation; tables set according to instructions; external condition of environment (tidy, clean).
  • In accordance with regulations (including instruction, working methods, HACCP and presentation).
  • Serving dishes.
  • Guest satisfaction (approach, handling, manner of service).
  • Compliance with hygiene regulations.
  • Completeness and correctness of provided information.
  • Cleaning up afterwards.
  • Tidying up / cleaning public areas and work areas.
  • Tidy / clean work environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • You have a high level of responsibility and are service-oriented.
  • You are fluent in English. Any other language? Fantastic! The more the merrier.
  • You have a presentable appearance.
  • You have good communication and service-related skills.
  • You are highly motivated, a flexible personality, with the ability to handle stress well.
  • You have a proactive attitude, are creative and you see everything that happens.
  • Thorough knowledge of wines and drinks, or at least you are keen to learn more about it!
  • Not averse to rotating and weekend shifts, and working on public holidays.

Requirements:

  • MBO level 2 working and thinking level
  • And/or previous work experience in service for at least 1 year
