At The Vincent Hotel Group we are looking for an Learning & Development Coordinator in addition to our HR department. As the L&D Coordinator you are part of our HR team at the support office (Amsterdam). The team consist of the HR Director Moniek, she is ultimately responsible for all HR related matters. You, together with three other HR coordinators, 1 HR intern and one recruiter you are the first point of contact for all TVHG colleagues regarding training opportunities and our very own TVHG academy.

 

It is a challenging cluster role for 11 hotels in the Netherlands, each with franchise contracts with brands such as Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Hampton by Hilton. At TVHG we are looking for friendly, hospitable and astute employees who are full of energy! Employees who can focus on what the guest and colleagues really consider important. This function is available for 30-38 hours per week.

 

In this role, you will ensure high levels of effectiveness, communication and more importantly, maintain a pleasant work environment. The Learning & Development Coordinator post is crucial to the delivery of quality learning opportunities within TVHG for staff at all levels. The post holder will support the HR director to develop and deliver training in all areas relevant to service provision. They will also contribute to the development of the Learning and Development strategy.

 What are you responsible for:

  • Create, maintain and update the TVHG training academy with relevant courses and workshops.
  • Provides internal training on various hospitality related topics
  • Develop and manage the annual work calendar to ensure all annual events and processes, and project-related activities are planned and executed successfully.
  • Manage course and workshop attendance.
  • Receive, coordinate and/or prepare materials for training classes and workshops.
  • Assist with the design of and updates to the L&D portal websites.
  • Track and report on all employee training activities.
  • Assists with creating new training programs.
  • Regularly facilitate the new employee orientation TVHG welcome day.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of L&D offerings.
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, coordination and delivery of all new employee onboarding activities and programs.
  • Track training material inventory.

What makes you the perfect colleague?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, HR or equivalent is a pre.
  • 2+ years work experience in hospitality environment.
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects positively on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
  • In this function you have to work with confidential information. You know how to do this properly.
  • Must speak and write fluent English and Dutch, other language preferred.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often
