Working at the coolest spot in Amsterdam? That’s what you’ll find at Stayokay Amsterdam Stadsdoelen. This newly renovated hostel sits right on the canals, on the lively Kloveniersburgwal. With its low-key, cozy living room vibe, it welcomes backpackers from all over the world. And at both of our hostels, you’ll get to enjoy meeting unique people and hearing their stories every single day!

Are you a natural leader who keeps things running smoothly, making sure we can maintain that unique hostel vibe together? Then we’re looking for you! As an Allround Supervisor, based at Stayokay Amsterdam Stadsdoelen, you’re the all-rounder who ensures our guests have an unforgettable stay — without ever noticing how much you’re managing behind the scenes.

You are...

going to kick off the day with the housekeeping and front office team, supporting them with constructive feedback. You love being part of the team and working together to make things happen.
going to work with PMS, our reservation system, making sure our 168 beds are filled every day.
going to create an atmosphere with the team where guests want nothing more than to hang out at the bar.
going to ensure HACCP rules are followed properly throughout the hostel.
going to solve guest issues before they even feel like complaints. Easy!
going to manage reservations, handle last-minute changes, and take on supervisor tasks like you’ve done it all your life.
going to step in to check rooms with a sharp eye for detail when no housekeeping supervisor is around.
going to roll up your sleeves for the occasional light cleaning task.
going to act as duty manager, making sure the hostel operation runs as smoothly as possible.
going to share ideas on hostel procedures and come up with creative solutions.
occasionally going to work shifts at Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark to support the team. Teamwork makes the dream work, right?

You have...

a few years of experience in a similar role — and you’re not afraid to share your skills with us. We love learning from each other!
no problem multitasking; in fact, you shine at staying calm even when chaos hits.
an open mind, plenty of drive, and a passion for doing things as sustainably as possible.
a good command of English (Dutch is a plus, and if you speak another language, even better!).
