THE POSITION

We’re searching for an enthusiastic Breakfast Chef, that enjoys working in a fast-paced workplace and an international team, serving many different kinds of guests! In the hotel, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As well as lunches and dinners for groups, for our staff canteen and we have two meeting rooms on the 1st floor. Our restaurant, Express Café & Bar Noord, is located on the ground floor of the hotel and has 60 covers. For our lunch and dinner menu, we work together with local suppliers from Amsterdam Noord. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Preparing and cooking breakfast dishes according to the menu and guest preferences.
• Ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented to a high standard.
• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area.
• Ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
• Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING?

• MBO/HBO or equivalent level of education.
• At least 1-2 years of experience within a similar role; experience in Holiday Inn Express hotels is an advantage.
• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of breakfast dishes and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays.
