Suus Plesman, wife of KLM founder Albert Plesman, quietly shaped history through hospitality. In the 1930s, as tensions rose between Albert and his pilots, Suus had a simple idea: invite everyone to the table for a home-cooked meal and a glass of wine, with one rule: no one leaves until peace is made. That dinner led to a historic agreement that helped define KLM’s future, thanks to Suus’ warmth and belief in the power of food to unite.
Today, Restaurant Suus carries on her legacy, bringing people together through shared stories and exceptional meals.
We are looking for an experience Breakfast Chef to join our team in our brand-new kitchen. Working closely under our Executive Chef, Kyan van Bommel, and the Chef de Cuisine, you’ll assist with the daily operations of Suus with heart, skill, and creativity. Together, we aim to bring the culinary standard of Suus to the highest level and crafting a dining experience that is both refined and deeply memorable.

What will you be doing?
● You'll take control of the breakfast service and make sure all guests receive a delicious & memorable breakfast
● Set up and break down the breakfast
● You'll understand all details around daily specials, menu changes and special (dietary) needs of guests
● Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
● You'll put away all deliverables in an organized and timely matter
● Monitor accurate execution of food safety guidelines, fire safety policy and working conditions
Small print:
● You have 2 – 3 years of experience in a similar role. You’ll be on top of our list if you gained this experience at a 4/5-star hotel.
● Flexibility to work morning (starting 06:00AM/07:00AM) including weekends and holidays;
● You speak English fluently
● You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague
