De Plesman is based in a historic monument, and is currently transformed into a brand-new lifestyle hospitality concept. All the (wonderful - if we can say so) basics are there: an astonishing monumental building, a restaurant, a bar, a gym and meeting rooms. But de Plesman is not your regular hotel, we do things differently around here.
So.. what is different you ask? We are bold. We are looking for someone who wants to evolve hospitality together with us. We believe our team members are at the heart of our hotel and make it such a special place. We can’t do this alone though, and hence we are looking for you to set up and run the financial operation of our various F&B outlets.

What will you be doing?
You are keen to control F&B costs and expenses by your analysis. You’ll be doing menu engineering, inventory control, recipe costing: your advice is valuable to ensure bottom-line performance.
Upkeeping our purchasing system Lightspeed, ensuring it always works and is fully up to date.
You are great at communicating with suppliers: ensuring the right prices and timely delivery.
Present KPI’s to the F&B team to work collaboratively on improvements, whilst contributing to a fun and dynamic environment.
Manage the books with accrual management, payment reconciliations, revenue controls and reconciliations.
You’ll set-up procedures to ensure compliance and will be assisting the Finance team in audit preparation with a bold attitude, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
You will report to the Financial Controller.
Small print:
● You have at least HBO working and thinking level, with a passion for the hotel industry.
● You are skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Teams) and can use these tools efficiently.
● You will be on top of our list if you have knowledge of PMS and POS software (like Mews and Lightspeed), accounting systems (like AFAS), and purchasing systems (like ApicBase).
● You preferably know USALI.
● You speak English fluently, it would be considered a plus if you speak Dutch.
● You are hands-on, structured and take responsibility.
● You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague.
