THE POSITION
We’re searching for enthusiastic teammates that enjoy working in fast-paced workplaces and have a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service. With a spacious terrace and city views, Holiday Inn Express Almere , can be enjoyed at the restaurant on the ground floor or having a drink at the bar. You will also have the chance to enjoy from our international menu, amazing and delicious dishes and fresh cocktails from the bar. If it is sunny outside, you can relax on the large terrace.
This position is for evening shifts.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational leadership: Oversee the setup and ongoing operations of breakfast and restaurant services, monitoring progress and maintaining quality across all shifts. Assign tasks to F&B Attendants, provide clear instructions, and create work schedules to ensure efficient staffing. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and the delivery of high-quality service
Guest service and experience: Ensure the team provides exceptional service to guests, consistently promoting a hospitable and welcoming atmosphere in line with brand standards. Empower the team to handle both positive and negative guest feedback professionally, ensuring that feedback is recorded and addressed correctly. Actively work to prevent and resolve guest complaints.
Heat up the evening food for the in-house groups/ prepare the kitchen dishes.
Team supervision and development :Ensure team members are punctual, polite, and provide courteous service to guests and colleagues at all times. Guarantee that team members adhere to uniform standards and understand the importance of personal hygiene. Provide guidance and support to team members, especially during peak times. Participate in training initiatives and ensure team members are knowledgeable about hotel services and offerings
Cleanliness and presentation: Ensure all F&B outlets are consistently clean and well-presented, adhering to both brand and legal standards of hygiene and presentation. Ensure that restaurant and bar menus, as well as promotional materials, are up-to-date and displayed correctly at all times.
Inventory and Stock Control: Check and maintain stock levels regularly, advising on or placing orders as needed to ensure adequate supplies for smooth service.
Health, safety and compliance: Supervise the team’s compliance with brand and legal regulations, including health and safety protocols, working conditions, and HACCP standards. Ensure all safety protocols are followed and report any issues or non-compliance to the Operations Manager immediately.
Additional responsibilities: Take on any other relevant task as assigned by the Operations Manager in an efficient and accurate manner
Min MBO 4 or relevant level of education.
At least 2 years’ of experience in a similar role.
Excellent knowledge of English and/or Dutch, both written and spoken. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a diverse team.
Guest-oriented, proactive, adaptable and independent. Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Thorough understanding of F&B service standards, menu planning, and operational procedures.
Capable of identifying and resolving operational challenges promptly and effectively.
Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality and guest satisfaction
