Key Responsibilities of the Front of House Manager:

 

  • Ensures the smooth running of the front office department, where all aspects of the guest journey and experience are delivered to the highest level
  • Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries and problem resolution
  • Establishes and delivers an effective planned guest engagement program
  • Sharing is caring; share the quality results to develop the team and improve our guest satisfaction; YES I CAN
  • Make sure that there is a complete focus on our loyalty program Radisson Rewards! Enrol our guest and deliver the benefits for our Club, Premium and VIP members
  • Leads and manages the Front Office team fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department
  • Establishes a challenging and fun work environment for the Front Office team
  • Proactively supports training needs and implements new training programs together with the Recruitment & Training Manager
  • Recruits new talent within the Front Office department in line with the RHG Foundations 
  • Ensures a smooth onboarding training program for all new hires
  • Prepares and is responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders; Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Meeting & Events and Housekeeping. Reports to the Operations Manager
  • Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries and problem resolution
  • Develops and implements the plans and objectives where front office initiatives & hotel targets are achieved
  • Recognize potential Corporate guests and share details with Sales for business growth opportunities
  • Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in front office with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
  • Ability to find creative solutions with proven problem-solving capabilities offering support where required
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
  • Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage labor productivity
  • Strong problem solving skills, encourages new innovative solutions when appropriate
