What are your responsibilities? 

You will be working in our Midtown Grill restaurant - the best steakhouse in Amsterdam. For this position you must be knowledgeable about wines and passionate about giving personal service, making sure our guests always have an unforgettable experience. As part of your daily tasks you will issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles, and answer guest questions or concerns regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines when required. You will attend wine tastings and develop relationships with our vendors. You may also facilitate training sessions for the whole F&B team. You will also work as a shift leader within the F&B department. You will make sure everything runs smooth and assist your colleagues wherever they need.

We are currently looking for a Jr. Sommelier at our iconic property, the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel, the first hotel that Marriott International did open overseas.

To be eligible for this position you:

• Are friendly and have an open posture
• Can deliver a high level of service
• Have a deep knowledge of wines
• Have a diploma or wine certificate
• Are clear in speaking English
• Have relevant work experience
• Speak English fluently 
• Are able and flexible to work different shifts
