NH Amsterdam Zuid is looking for a strong technical leader to oversee maintenance operations in a modern and fast‑paced hotel environment. With over 200 rooms, extensive meeting and event spaces, and facilities including a gym, wellness area, and restaurant, the hotel operates as a complex technical environment. As Maintenance Manager, you oversee a wide range of systems such as HVAC, electrical and water installations, safety systems, and energy management, ensuring everything functions flawlessly behind the scenes.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical expert who enjoys responsibility, problem‑solving, and leading maintenance operations in a fast‑paced setting. The hotel is conveniently located and easily accessible by public transport and car..

Your Role at a Glance 

As Maintenance Manager, you are fully responsible for all technical operations within the hotel. You ensure that all systems and facilities run safely, efficiently, and without disruption.

• Leading and coaching the maintenance team

• Creating schedules and daily work planning

• Coordinating maintenance and repair activities

• Managing electrical, mechanical, sanitary, HVAC and energy systems

• Ensuring excellent condition of guest rooms and public areas

• Coordinating external service partners for elevators, air conditioning, cooling and sprinkler systems

• Planning preventive maintenance and inspections

• Supervising renovations and technical projects

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, HACCP standards and legal requirements

• Acting quickly in case of malfunctions or emergencies

What Makes You a Great Fit   

You are a hands-on leader who enjoys technical complexity and takes ownership.

• Experience as a Maintenance Manager, Head of Maintenance or similar

• Experience in the hospitality sector is a strong advantage

• Strong technical knowledge (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc.)

• Proactive, solution-oriented and action-driven mindset

• Comfortable supporting the team on the floor when needed

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Flexible and responsive to technical issues

• Dutch language skills are preferred, as the role involves daily communication with local teams and suppliers.
