Night Receptionist - Amsterdam

Stayokay Vondelpark & Stadsdoelen is the largest hostel within Stayokay and has recently been fully renovated, including a brand‑new restaurant, The 5th, featuring an open kitchen and great food. In The 5th, also known as our living space, guests can enjoy a meal, have drinks, or do some flexible working. When you work with us, you’ll experience a relaxed vibe and have lots of fun with both colleagues and guests.

Do you have experience in Front Office and/or security and are you ready for a new challenge? Then we’re looking for you! For Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark & Stadsdoelen, we are looking for a Night Receptionist.

You will…

• be the first point of contact for guests during the night
• supervise order and safety in and around the hostel
• carry out control rounds inside and outside the hostel and monitor security cameras
• welcome guests and handle check-ins and check-outs when needed
• take initiative and act appropriately in case of incidents, following established protocols
• perform small administrative tasks and write nightly reports
• help keep the hostel clean and tidy by doing rounds indoors and outdoors
• work up to 4 nights per week

You have…

• a strong sense of responsibility and remain calm under pressure
• a service‑oriented and friendly attitude towards guests
• a First Aid (BHV) and Social Hygiene certificate (a plus, but not required)
• no difficulty communicating in Dutch and English
• preferably experience in security or hospitality (not required)
• the ability to work independently and make decisions
• no problem working alone at night, mainly during weekdays and weekends — in other words, you’re a true night owl
• an open mind, a strong drive, and you value sustainability
