Are you creative in the kitchen and do you enjoy collaborating with the restaurant manager to launch our new Thai restaurant in Rotterdam? If so, we are seeking you as a Thai cook for our Rotterdam location.

What does your working day look like?

As Thai Cook of Kevin Bacon Rotterdam, we will train you to learn all the ins and outs of our Thai kitchen. Your main tasks are to prepare all dishes and ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly during dinner. The restaurant will mainly focus on serving the best Thai food. Still, you will also be able to create culinary delights and provide multiple courses or group menus on special evenings and during events. Towards the evening, you ensure a perfect mise en place, and in the afternoon, you prepare various products according to our recipes. At the end of the night, you clean and stock the kitchen to make sure you can start well-prepared the next day.

What are we looking for?

• You take an interest in Thai cuisine;
• You have some basic cooking experience in Asian food and would like to develop it further;
• You are a real team player, have humor and boundless energy;
• You are a star at communicating and can finish work perfectly;
• You have an eye for detail and are always looking to improve things;
• You speak English.

Who are we?

Hotel Not Hotel has been a unique appearance in the market from the beginning on, due to its quirky concept and collaboration with various artists and designers. As the name suggests, Hotel Not Hotel is more than just an overnight stay. Forget anonymous hotel corridors and room numbers; we do everything differently to give our guests a unique experience. 

Spread across different locations in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, you'll find rooms in the most unique places. As an example, you can sleep in a restored Tram Cart, which was still running in Amsterdam in the 60s, or search for your room door in our Secret Bookcases. Could it get any crazier? Sure, you can sleep in a Vertical Swimming Pool or a Volkswagen Van, which was sourced all the way from Brazil.

In addition to the unique hotel concept, you'll find exciting Food and Beverage in Amsterdam. "Kevin Bacon," our Thai restaurant known for its delicious curries and cocktails, has become the star of Amsterdam West. We will roll out this concept further in Rotterdam in 2024!
